Graduate degrees and programs

Graduate studies require International Students to obtain an initial degree and, sometimes, several years of professional work before being admitted. The most common Master Degrees offered in North America are: Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Education (MEd), and Master of Fine Arts (MFA). Admission into graduate programs depends upon a student's undergraduate academic performance or professional work experience. In addition to it, institutions may require student's scores on standardized entrance exams, such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE-graduate schools in general), the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), or the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). Many graduate and law schools do not require experience after earning a bachelor's degree to be admitted into their programs; however, business school candidates are usually required and advised to gain a few years of professional work experience before entering the programs.
